BREAKING NEWS

We were born on June 23, 2010 in Newport Beach, California

Reese was born at 1:57 PM and weighed 4 pounds 7 ounces and measured 16.5 inches.

Will was born at 1:58 PM and weighed 4 pounds 9 ounces and measured 18 inches.

We were born at 32 weeks and 1 day and are doing well given our quick entrance into this world.

Mom and Dad are doing fine. Mom had us via C-Section and Dad did not pass out but did cry quite a bit (actually A LOT).

Thank you for your love and prayers.

God is good. All the time.

Today

Thank you for all your prayers. Thoughts are nice, but a direct line to God is always better. Why just think when you can talk to God? I know we are new but that just makes sense to us. You see, we have been talking to God quite a bit lately. We have had good days and bad days but what we have found is that we always have today.

God gives us today and makes no guarantees about tomorrow. We are not worried about not making it to tomorrow but we are living for today. We are learning that life today is better than thinking about life tomorrow. We are also learning that yesterday is pretty meaningless. We have yet to find a way to change yesterday.

Some people say tomorrow is a new day. We say, today is the greatest day.

Hello World

We are here.

Want to know what happened?

Here goes...

WILL:  So this morning around 6 AM I bet Reese he couldn't kick his membrane open.  I mean come on, it's World Cup time right?  We've been watching all the games and with the USA vs. Algeria match starting in a few minutes we thought we would get in some practice.

REESE:  I didn't want to take the bet.  I'm the oldest which makes me all the more wise and I knew what would happen.

WILL:  OH you're going to pull that card!  NOW?!?!?  You're like 1 minute older than me.  If that?!?!?  Give me a break...

REESE:  Like I said, I didn't want to take the bet but little Willy over there (cutoff)

WILL:  Oh no sir!  I'm NOT the 4 lbs 7 oz, 16.5 inch shrimp.  That's you Reese.  I'm BIG WILL coming in at a stellar 4 lbs 9 oz and a lean mean 18 inches.  For a "32 weeker" they think I'm quite the stallion.

REESE:  If I could get back to the story...I wasn't going to do it but he dared me.  We all know that the original "dare" does not elicit much of a response.

WILL:  Yeah.  So I skipped the dog dare and went right into, "I TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU"!

REESE:  What are you going to do right?  It was a triple dog dare.  I had that thing busted in TWO KICKS!  It was waaaayyy faster than any of the USA soccer players today!  They needed extra time to beat...who were they playing?

WILL:  Next thing I know, Reese is going all Kelly Slater on me and riding the wave down to the birth canal.  I was yelling at him.  "Reese!  REESE!  Where did you go?!??"  Finally he said, "I'm down here."  But it sounded like he was in a cave with echoes and everything.  All I could see were his feet!

REESE:  I got stuck down there for a few hours and that's when I started causing mom some real pain.  I felt bad about it but once I was down there, I wanted OUT!  The contractions were waving and rolling, rolling and waving, waving and rolling!

WILL:  That's when I heard Reese yell, "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"  It reminded me of Squints in the Sandlot.  You know when they're at the pool and Wendy Prefercorn is putting on suntan lotion and...

REESE:  Not all these people have seen The Sandlot.

WILL:  Well they should!  It's only the 4th best movie ever!  Right after Empire Stikes Back, Indiana Jones, The Bourne movies and Love Actually.  What?  I'm a lover...

REESE:  Well for one, that's more than 4 movies.

WILL:  Dude, I'm like 4 hours old.  Get off it.  Who cares if I can't count yet!  OOOHHHH Mama Judy and Pop just got here!  Back in a jiff!

Quick Update

So here's what's been going on with us the last few days.  Many of you may know but for those that don't, we will try to be as clear as possible.  It's been BANANAS!

After getting home from our Memorial Weekend road trip to the hospital, we settled back in at home for some nice bed rest until our delivery day.  On Wednesday we went to our Dr. and he looked at us kind of funny.  Remember in The Sandlot when Squints says, "FOOORRREEEEVVVEEERRRR", and it's real slow and deliberate.  Imagine that and this is what the Dr. said, "I AAAMMMM SSEENNNDDIINNNGGG YOOOUUUU BAAAAACCKKKKK".

The best part was when he said to go straight there and mom asked if she could go home to get some things and he said no.  Well, ok so the best part was in the car when mom told dad to go home.  It went like this.

Mom:  Please go home and let me get some stuff
Dad:  But the Dr, said...(CUTOFF)
Mom:  If I'm going to be there for a while, I want to go home and get my stuff
Dad:  Well, ok...."Boys, do as I say, not as i do"

And so we have been in the hospital ever since and probably will be for a while.

They put us on a GNARLY treatment called, "The Mag", otherwise known as Magnesium Sulphate.  It helps with mom's contractions (which she still is  not feeling).  It also helps us in case we are born to soon.  It made us feel very strange.  All the nurses described it differently, but probably the most easy to understand would be like having the flu, a hangover, and hot flashes all at the same time.  They had ice buckets next to mom to cool her off because it also made her feel hot and tingly. The craziest thing about it, she couldn't have hardly any water!!!  So, after 24 hours of feeling AWFUL, we got to come off the medicine and have been doing great ever since.  We even had our first visitor, Frauntie Katie!

Ok so this was not sooo quick but there is more to come.  OHHH and today is also MOVING DAY!  Since we are going to be here a while, we are going over to "Antipartem".  We are not sure what that means, but the room has a fridge and dad is bringing up some snacks and some milk!  Dad has been dying for some milk!  And maybe a dvd player or the WII...ok gotta run, we are literally moving RIGHT NOW!

Memorial Weekend ROAD TRIP!!!

Get this...

So mom and dad said, "Come on boys!  It's time for a road trip!"  We were thinking maybe the beach (since it's close and they were talking about pictures).  Oh or maybe our first Vegas trip!  But we may be a little young for that.  But you will never guess where we ended up...

It's close to the beach...BUT IT AIN'T the beach!  Our parents hoodwinked us!  We were ready for a great weekend of fun in the sun and ended up in the HOSPITAL.  Although now that we have had some time to reflect, we think this could have been our doing.

You see, we are VERY ANXIOUS to come meet everyone out there.  We can't wait for all this world has to offer!  The problem is, you are just not ready for us yet...bummer.  The good news is that the folks at Hoag Hospital took great care of us and our mom.  They even hooked our dad up with a couple of free meals (we get one extra per day but don't tell him that).  They just wanted to check mom out because she was doing something called "contracting".  We're not sure what that is but it sure makes for a fun time in the womb!  They also checked us out and said we were in fine form (tell us something we don't know!).

We were admitted on Thursday and got to go home Friday night.  They gave mom some medicine and said they hoped to not see us for a while...........

FAMOUS LAST WORDS....because the sequel to this post is already in the works.  (SPOILER ALERT, SPOILER ALERT)  We sure are getting to know the people at Hoag very well...GULP!

Listen to Our Hearts...

Reese's Heartbeat

Will's Heartbeat

NO not the Roxette song!  It's US!  You can hear our hearts beating...so turn up the volume and rock to our hearts!

We just got back from the doc and we're doing great!  We are in the 50th percentile for babies which is great for twins.  We both weigh two pounds and everything else is the same too!  We continue to be identical in every way which has our parents a little worried about all the mischief we might get into.  Think Parent Trap meets The Goonies and that's what our parents think might happen.

We're going to be the "most amazing thing you ever saw"!

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Wow...we have quite a few people checking in on us!  More than a few of you have "encouraged" us to keep everyone more up to date on our progress.

It's been a whirlwind the last few weeks.  We rode on a jet plane!  It was our second time but the first time we don't really remember.  We were so young back then!  We went to Texas for a shower, but it didn't rain.  We were a bit confused but then people started coming in with all kinds of great stuff for us and we forgot about the rain and got lost in a sea on blessings from our family and friends.  People must really like us...

Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you.

We have been to the Dr. several times in the last month.  It's a critical time for us but we keep showing strong!

Today we are 23 weeks old (BC - before Caesarean) and last week we had "big" ultrasound.  They measured both of us six ways to Sunday!  Funny thing is, we are exactly the same!  Just one exception:

Will = 1 pound
Reese = 1 pound 1 ounce

Or it may be reversed.  Actually we're not sure which is which.  Oh no...do you think this will happen again?

OH Ooooo Oh OH...we have to go.  Rocky is about to fight Drago!

Where There's a "Will", There's a "Reese"

Hello.  My name is Will.

Hello.  My name is Reese.

From now on, these will be our names.  They are good names.  They are from good men.  And when we say "Where there's a Will, there's a Reese", there will be.

We will look out for each other.  We will have each other's back.  We will love one another.  We will love others.  We are coming into this world to make it a better place.  We will make you smile.  We will make you laugh.  We will make you hope again.  We will help you heal.  We will be gentle.  We will act as gentlemen.  We will lend a hand.  We will help you feel your heart.  We will be there when times are hard.  We will be strong.  We will stand tall.  We will look you in your eyes.  We will let our lights shine.

To celebrate, our parents took us to Disneyland for the first time.  It was ok but we couldn't really ride any rides.  Mom says it was because of US!  Is she NUTS!  We wanted to go go go!!!  They're crazy!  We would have been fine dropping down Splash Mountain or Space Mountain or Indiana Jones or even Pirates of the Carribean.  EVEN our Nanny rode that RIDE!  This had better stop really soon because we are ready to have some FUN!!!

Thanks for your prayers everyone!

Webster's Blog (and he announces our names)!!!

Hello everyone.  It's Webster.  The twins let me have some space on their website.  So far I like them, but then again, they haven't really been bothering me too much.  Probably because they haven't popped out yet.

I've really enjoyed joking with Shelby about her "litter" though.  That's my joke.  You can laugh.
So the twins have been getting alot of questions about names and they were kind enough to let me share them with all of you so here goes.

If they are boys:
Airbud Original and Airbud the 4th (Just as with Rocky the original and 4 were the best)

If they are girls:
Sassy and Daisy

I have already picked out my present for when they come home.  Tennis Balls!  Because I can't think of anything I would want more than lots of tennis balls rolling on the floor with the twins.

Well I'm tired now.  It took me all day to type this (no thumbs)...

Webster Out...

By the way, I just noticed that my tail looks dopped.  I have a tail.  I have a beautiful tail.  I told them to put a good picture on here.  I can't believe this.  I just woke up from a nap on the tile and my tail is between my legs.  I'm so embarrased.  Here is what I really look like...

Ahhh much better...ok so it was a few years ago but man am I good lookin

Two Weeks?

We're really not sure about this thing called "time" right now.  Supposedly we just "lost" an hour???  I guess mom and dad are going to look for it?  We hope so!

And then there's all this talk about two weeks.  We don't know what a week is but it's been two of them since mom has been sick.  And that's a GOOD thing!  Mostly because we keep getting blamed for it!  We LOVE our mom.  She's protecting us and giving us a home right now.  WHY would we make her sick???  Does that make sense to anyone?  BUT they kept blaming us when they talked to everyone.  They would say, "Oh the twins are making me/her sick and it's AWFUL".  Soooo....

We want to set the record straight.  WE, as in       and         did not, by our choice make our mom sick.  If we did it inadvertanly (big word there for us), we apologize but let's get real.  Do YOU think we would do that to our mom?  Of COURSE not!  We're the "Oh look it's twins, they're sooooocute" twins....at least that's what we think is going to happen and we're going to take advantage of it EVERY chance we get it!

Alright...well we're going to go eat.  And then we're going to convince dad to fill out a March Madness bracket for us.  Who do we think is going to win????

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Shameless plug to our mom and dad.  They've been married 8 YEARS TODAY!!!  Ok that was more for our mom but we love our dad too!  They went to The Melting Pot last night.  Dad kept making sure mom was cooking her food enough.  She was!  We loved it!  Dad picked the Flaming Turtle Chocolate and practically licked the bowl!

We had a doctors appointment last week but there wasn't much to it.  Good heartbeats, 161 and 159 bpm which is normal for this time, but that's about it.  Dad asked when we would be "in the clear" and the doctor said, "oh about 25 years".  HAHAHAH  Dad had it coming to him!

However...stay tuned next THURSDAY when all of your questions will be answered!  We'll do something with the website...

In other news...
A girl on American Idol just sang Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac!  Hmmm that's a cool name...

Updated Poll Question...

Due to some recent news from our latest Dr. visit, we have updated our poll question.  You may want to rethink your vote!

SPECIAL CORRECTION NOTICE!

Helloooooo!

We messed up!  We misspelled our most favoritist cousin's name.  Dooohhhh!  She wrote us a special email letting us know that since we're still new, she will let it slide this time.  Thanks CaitLIN!  Since we misspelled your name, we wanted to show everyone how cool you and your brother Jordan are (our other most favoritist cousin).

This is our cousin Caitlin!

This is our cousin Jordan!

Good News...from our Doctors!

So we had a big sonogram or ultrasound depending on which one of our parents you ask (it was an ultrasound - mom was right).  This was our third different place for an ultrasound and this was a BIG one.  We had to go to the "special" top secret ultrasound lair to measure our necks and so our parents could hear our heartbeats!  Our dad grabbed our mom's arm and they both kind of...umm...i guess they both got a bit emotional and crazed.  Basically, they freaked out they thought it was so cool.  We're glad they got to hear them but it's all we hear ALL DAY LONG...blump blump...blump blump...blump blump.  We're ready for some Coldplay!  Yeah!

Back to the ultrasound. We did not cooperate at all.  We were so disappointed in ourselves.

Twin A - Hey "B" YOU were the one not cooperating.
Twin B - Ooooohh "A" the "good" twin.  I was having fun.  I was putting on a show for our parents...I was dancing, yawning, kicking, and bouncing around!  You just sat there rubbing your nose
Twin A - I was trying to be good so they could take our picture and measure our necks.
Twin B - Boohoo...they got it didn't they.
Twin A - After 3 people and the main doctor!!!
Twin B - Hey it got done didn't it?  And I made sure they had fun while you just sat there rubbing your nose!
Twin A - I was rubbing my nose because you kept hitting me.  You just wait...I'm sneaky...

So there you have it.  It got done but we were a pill for everyone.  We'll be good next time.  WE PROMISE!

Here's a picture of mom looking at us on the TV and a profile picture of "A".  No good picutres of "B"...I was moving around too much!

Our grandparents are coming to see us this weekend!  Woohooo!  We'll keep everyone posted via Twitter!  See you soon...

Oh yeah...Doc says all is good...we're coming along FANTASTIC!

Q&A...without the Q

Whoa.

We have been getting quite a few questions lately.  Some are the normal, routine, pedestrian type questions.  Some of you though are quite creative!  We wanted to spend a few minutes to answer them in no particular order and in no particular importance to who asked or who is reading or what you may or may not think about our short lives here on on earth in womb so far...whew...
Are you ready?
  1. No
  2. Yes
  3. August 17 but probably sooner (we will sell squares that will go to our college fund - maybe some to Haiti relief)
  4. We don't know - it's either not there yet or it's not there.  Mom and dad both think "it's not there"
  5. NATURAAAAAL
  6. Leaning toward Huggies, but in all likelihood Costco brand
  7. It will be black and white until we are born
  8. Boob - hehehehehhehe
  9. EEEWWWW that's our parents!  You wouldn't want to know that about your parents would you?!?!?
  10. They call it Webster.  We call it monster.  Supposedly he will protect us
  11. Either a good stroller or not having to be beside him or her all day every day - hey not cool!  I didn't say anything about you
  12. A Bumbleride - sheesh...everyone knows that.  It's the Ferrari of strollers!
  13. No way...Dave Matthews Band is horrible.  Even we know that
  14. Texas!
  15. Golf and soccer.  Everything else we can decide on our own
  16. Anywhere except Texas A&M or Notre Dame
  17. Not really...not just yet
  18. Definately
  19. We like what's playing on our site.  Duh!  That's why we had our dad put it there
  20. No.  If you dress us in matching outfits we will throw up all over them.  Seriously.
  21. Disneyland - of course.  But most likely it will be either Target or Costco.
  22. 12 weeks as of TODAY (Tuesday Feb. 2)
  23. Uncle Austin
  24. The truffle shuffle
  25. Just to be clear.  We are serious about the outfits.
  26. Jordan & CaitLIN
  27. Maybe in a month???
  28. Definitely Star Wars although the last Star Trek was good (so we hear)
  29. Can you register for that?  We thought it was just someone from Boston talking about their iPod.  Then yes.  We will probably grow up teaching our parents and grandparents how to use an iPad
  30. No.  Because our dad says there are sharks there
  31. Bikes
  32. Where the Wild Things Are
  33. Walks and jogs with mom and dad and the monster
  34. Lots and lots of water
  35. Those bomb pop popcicles with the red, white and blue...we never get the white though.  Mom makes dad eat that part
And the question you have all been waiting for...

Yes but mom and dad won't let us say them yet. They don't want anyone to know.  They are beautiful and stately.
NO - we will get in big trouble if we say
We already said we wouldn't say
No we will not confirm yes or no
I think we've answered that question...
til next time.  We gotta "head out"

hahhahahahahahahhahhahaha

Holding our Hearts

We just uploaded a new video.  It's our heartbeats.  We have hearts.  They beat.

And they beat fast, fast, FAST!  Don't worry, they're supposed to beat fast right now.  It's a sign of strength.  GGRRRAAAAAHHHH.  That's a bear growl.  We like Bears and Bruins (shamless shout out to our Cal and UCLA peeps).

Amazingly, our mom is carrying our hearts inside her right now.  She has three hearts beating inside her!  Even more amazingly, because of technology these days, you can click on the video and see what God sees each day.  You can see what He sees!  Our mom and dad say he is watching over us each and every second of each and every day.  We think that's cooler than Colorado.  Ok so we haven't been to Colorado...but dad is promising to take us.

We just wanted to let everyone know that when you look at us right now, you are seeing what God sees.  And even though our mom is carrying our hearts, God is holding them in His hand.  And we think that is AWESOME.

New Poses

We thought we would share a few more poses we offered the camera the other day.  The "sonar tech" as our "dad" person says, showed us around to the rest of the staff because we looked sooooo cute lying side by side.  We're not even born yet and we're being paraded around.  This could be a long few years...

For the record, we believe the lady to be an "ultrasound technician" and our "mom" person agrees.  The "dad" is always getting it wrong.  But he's funny.  He makes our mom laugh, which by all accounts, makes us laugh as well.

Yes, we laugh!  Why not right?!?!?  Don't you ever laugh "on the inside"???  Get it?  INSIDE?!?!?  We crack ourselves up!
